Micronutrients, Pollutants And CardiomeTabolic health in Luxembourg (iMPACT.lu) – DE subtitles
In the last 20 years, there has been a global increase in the number of people suffering from cardiovascular and metabolic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension or obesity. Until now, public health strategies have focused on increasing physical activity and changing dietary habits but other environmental factors including exposure to pollutants and socioeconomic characteristics also play a major role in our well-being.
iMPACT.lu is a FNR funded project actively researching the exposure to a large number of environmental pollutants and the role of both pollutants and dietary components, such as vitamins, on cardiometabolic diseases.
