Symbiosis: Horror and Beauty in Nature – Dr. NEMO
From the Greek ‘sym-’ and ‘-bios’, ‘symbiosis’ essentially means ‚living together‘. It describes a close and long-term biological relationship between two different species. Symbiosis can be, in some cases, a beautiful, harmonious and mutualistic relationship. In other cases, an horrific, cruel and parasitic one. In this video, I bring you into my virtual classroom to talk about the different types of symbiosis with cool examples along the way, including the cephalopod I use for my PhD thesis: the Bobtail Squid.
